Health director urges caution as county opens

As Scott County emerges from a three month shutdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, health director Edith Tarango is hopeful, but cautious.

The good news is that, so far, only 16 positive cases have been reported in the county.

“I feel lucky that we haven’t had more cases since so many people travel back and forth to jobs in Finney County,” says Tarango, noting that the Tyson Foods packing plant has been a primary source of that county’s more than 1,500 cases.
