How much is too much for water tower?

The Scott City water tower was initially built to hold water, of course. At least that was the original intent.

Glance in the direction of the tower today and one will see a number of antennas in a “corral” on top of the domed surface.

That began in 2006 when communication companies approached the Scott City Council about using the 153-foot tower as the base for their antennas. The first to do so was RCC Atlantic (which is now Cingular Wireless).
