Lake Scott’s recovery from contamination in nature’s hands

Historic Lake Scott State Park has taken a huge financial hit in the 10 days since contamination spilled into the lake from Ladder Creek.

Mother’s Day attendance on Sunday was down about 75 percent, according to park manager Greg Mills.

Vehicle receipts for Mother’s Day are typically about $1,000 - or about 200 vehicles. This year’s receipts were only about $250.
