Schools, churches, nursing home adjust to Covid-19 pandemic

As guidelines from federal and state officials continue to evolve on a daily basis, Scott County health, emergency management and elected officials are trying to determine the community’s response to the coronavirus.

One option not on the table is to downplay the potential impact of Covid-19.

“In this part of the country it’s easy to adopt a mindset that this won’t affect us because we live in the wide open spaces. We can’t afford to think that way,” notes Tim Stoecklein, emergency management director for Scott County.
