Local units attempt to tighten NRP guidelines

When the Neighborhood Revitalization Program was initially established nearly a decade ago, the intent was to spur economic investment in Scott County.

And while some will claim that the NRP has met or exceeded those goals, others claim that it has gone too far in offering tax breaks to individuals.

However, when given the opportunity to make revisions and write new NRP guidelines for the next five years, few changes were made by local officials.
