NRP rebates in county top $1.6 million

Since becoming part of the economic development package in Scott County, the Neighborhood Revitalization Program has been somewhat controversial.

Critics feel that it rewards people for doing building projects they would have done anyway.

The result is that those improvements don’t show up on the tax rolls - at full assessed value - for five years.
