High flying aerobatics and the opportunity to see and ride aboard vintage aircraft are just some of the attractions that await those who attend the “Freedom in the Sky Airshow” on Saturday at the Scott City Airport.
The Scott City Council has approved the hiring of a part-time police officer to reduce overtime and provide some relief when the department is short of personnel.
Aerial acrobatics and airplane rides for the youngsters will be returning to the Scott City Airport with the “Freedom in the Sky Airshow” on Sat., Sept. 12.

Ron Meredith, 72, became the first death in Scott County attributed to the coronavirus.
Meredith died on Aug. 24 at Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colo.
