Amado Rocha, 74, died July 21, 2020, at his home in Leoti.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., the son of Rosario and Jaquina (Alvardo) Rocha. A long-time resident of Leoti, he was a farmer and rancher.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Leoti.
On May 5, 1985, he married Lenora Hernandez in Tribune. She died July 23, 2012, in Wellington.
Survivors include his daughter, Hilda Arreola and husband, Ezequiel, Scott City; mother, Jaquina Alvardo, Sterling, Ill.; four siblings, Rosario (Esther) Rocha, Jr., Sterling, Ill., Juan Rocha, Rock Falls, Ill., Nelda and Efrain Rojas of Alabama and Neomi and Able Sustaita, Corpus Christi, Tex.; five stepchildren, Tommy Zamora, Honolulu, Hawaii, Lewis Samora, Fairbanks, Alaska, Debbie Chavez, Leoti, Susiana Martinez, Garden City, and Ruth Proa, Leoti; a grandson, Aaden Arreola, Scott City; three granddaughters, Marisela Chavez, Dareli Arreola and Mireya Skibbe, all of Scott City; 17 step-grandchildren and 24 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and three sisters.
A graveside memorial service will be held Mon., July 27, 10:00 a.m., at the Leoti Cemetery.
There will be no calling times.
