Arlene J. Beaton

Arlene J. Beaton, 90, died Nov. 25, 2017, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City. She was born Feb.3, 1927 , in Scott City, the daughter of Clifford C. and Cora Ethel (Jones) Beeson. She was a lifetime resident of Scott County and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary No. 3124 of Garden City, the Women’s Bowling Association and former member of Lakeview Hustlers EHU. On May 23, 1947, she married William Edward Beaton in Syracuse. He died Dec. 13, 2000. Survivors include: four sons, William Lee Beaton, Scott City, John Beaton, Scott City, Dennis Beaton, Greeley, Colo., and Tom Beaton, Beloit; two daughters, Linda Savolt, Garden City, and Beverly Brown, Prairie Village; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters and one great-grandchild. Funeral service was held on Nov. 28 at the First Christian Church, Scott City, with Steve Payne presiding. Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Arlene Beaton Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.
