Brenda Marie Martindale
Brenda Marie Martindale, 49, Lyons, died Sept. 20, 2019, at Hospital District No. 1 of Rice County, Lyons.
She was born Feb. 16, 1970, in Scott City, the daughter of Lee and Linda (Burnett) Martindale.
Brenda graduated from Wichita County High School in 1989 and obtained a cosmetology license from Barton County Community College in 1990.
She went on to become a certified respiratory therapist through Seward County Community College. Brenda worked in Guymon, Okla., and as a traveling respiratory therapist in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Tennessee, New Mexico, Kansas, Minnesota and Connecticut.
She also worked as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic in Guymon, Okla., settling in Lyons in September 2017, where she worked for Hospital District No. 1 of Rice County.
She was baptized at the Community Christian Church, Scott City. Brenda was a member at Faith Bible Church, Lyons.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Pond, of the home; parents, of Leoti; maternal grandmother, Lottie Burnett, Dighton; and brother Michael Martindale and wife, Belinda, Dighton.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Doyle and Edna Martindale; and grandfather, Howard Burnett.
Funeral service was held Sept. 26 at Faith Bible Church, Lyons, with Pastor Phil Green officiating.
