Brian Jay Everett

Brian Jay Everett, 61, died, Jan. 11, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born on March 12, 1958, in Scott City, the son of John and Leila (Beth) Everett.

Jay was a lifetime resident of Scott City and was a truck driver for J. Unruh Trucking.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Scott City.

On Dec. 24, 1999, he married Delores Wilken in Scott City. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Christopher Everett, and wife, Amanda, Scott City; two daughters, Whitney Savolt and husband, Nick, Scott City, and Kaycee Miller and husband, Michael, Wichita; one brother, Bill Everett and wife, Sara, Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Beth Lee and husband, Greg, Dallas, Tex., and Lydia “Lollie” Packard and husband, Randy, Holyrood; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Melvin “M.L.” Everett; and a sister, Lynn Everett.

Memorial service will be held on Fri., Jan. 17, 2:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church, Scott City, with Pastor Larry Danforth presiding.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
