Calvin D. Kruse
Calvin D. Kruse, 92, died on June 6, 2018, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City. He was born on Feb. 13, 1926, in Frederick, Ks., the son of Walter and Sadie (Janssen) Kruse. A Scott City resident since 1947, moving from Loraine, he had been a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City, and had been a member of the Guidons International since 1984. He was also an avid bowler and golfer. Calvin was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include two nieces, Ann Sisson and her husband, Otis, Blue Springs, Mo., and Carole Bailey and Robert Sutherland, Flippin, Ark.; a companion, Betty LaToush, Scott City; and numerous cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Twila Kruse- Sutherland. Funeral services will be held Mon., June 11, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Visitation will be at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may made to the First Baptist Church in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 South Washington St., Scott City, Ks. 67871. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.
