Carolyn L. Janzen
Carolyn L. Janzen, 89 died Aug. 5, 2020, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
She was born on Nov. 3, 1930, in Dodge City, the daughter of Taylor Ardis and Helen M. (Helfrick) Shriver.
A resident of Scott City since 1949, moving from Berkeley, Calif., she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and El Quartelejo Study Club, all of Scott City.
On Dec. 29, 1949, she married Keith A. Janzen in Hobbs, N.M. He died on Oct. 22, 2007, in Scott City.
Survivors include two daughters, Elissa C. Bahm, Scott City, and Ann K. Price, Branson West, Mo.; a son, Terry A. Janzen, of Minnesota; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Keith Shriver; a sister, Janet Lewis; and great-grandson, Ethan Price.
Graveside service was held on Aug. 7 at the Scott County Cemetery with Don Williams presiding.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
