Carroll Dean Ribbing
Carrol D. Ribbing, 73, died Nov. 6, 2020, at the Wichita County Hospital, Leoti.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1947, in Garden City, the son of Eugene and Geraldine Ribbing.
A resident of Leoti since 1986, moving from Scott City, he was a retired truck driver.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion, serving as past commander ,and was a Selective Service representative.
On July 31, 1966, he married Kay Sloan. She survives.
On April 12, 1986, he married Marlene Ford Armstrong in Leoti. She survives.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene, Leoti; a son, Tim Nichols and wife, Diane, Wichita; a daughter, Tamara Hipp and husband, Shad, Garden City; a step-son, Chad Armstrong and wife, Linda, Scott City; a brother, Darrel Ribbing and wife, Marg, Ashland; three sisters, Ellen Hahn, Lakin, Kaye Cronin, Garden City, and Patricia Swilley, Scott City; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Ribbing.
Visitation will be Fri., Nov. 13, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti.
Funeral service will be Sat., Nov. 14, 10:30 a.m., at the Presbyterian Church, Leoti, with Terry Laws presiding.
Burial will be in the Leoti Cemetery.
