Doris L. Riner
Doris L. Riner, 98, died Oct. 19, 2020, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1922, in Comanche County, the daughter of John and Minnie (Sinkle) Wait.
A resident of Scott City since 1953, moving from Protection, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.
On May 3, 1942, she married G.T. Riner in Protection. He passed away on July 26, 2011, in Scott City.
Survivors include her two sons, Ronald Riner and wife, Sue, Scott City, and Bill Riner and wife, Sue, Scott City; three daughters, Roma Murphy and husband, Joe, Great Bend, Trudy Eikenberry and husband, Don, Scott City, and Connie Wilkinson and husband, Kevin, Goodyear, Ariz.; one brother, Merle Wait, Protection; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and eight great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Maxine Huck and Ruth Smitherman; and two brothers, John Wait, Jr. and Donald Wait.
Funeral service will be held Fri., Oct. 23, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
