Helen L. Hammack

Helen L. Hammack, 81, died Aug. 8, 2018, in Marquette. She was born Jan. 29, 1937, in Norton County, the daughter of Forrest E. Snyder and Mildred E. (Schooler) Snyder. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She married Herbert Hammack. He died in 2006. Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Wolff, Hutchinson, Agnes Linaweaver and husband, Leo, Zwolle, La., and Patty Hines and husband, Gary, Marion, Ohio; two sons, Donald Lemonds, Hutchinson, and L.D. Lemonds and wife, Angie, Hutchinson; five sisters, Mary Walker, Marquette, Leora Horner and husband, Wayne, Little River, LaVeta Spargo, Marquette, Marlene Wymore, Waco, Tex., and IIa Mittan, Benkelman, Nebr.; five brothers, Dean Snyder, White House, Tex., Glenn Snyder and wife, Lucy, Great Bend, Darrell Snyder, LaCrosse, Allen Snyder, McPherson, and Dale Snyder and wife, Ann, LaCrosse; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 11 greatgreat- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wilma Snyder; one daughter, Margaret Gray; one son, Charles Lemonds, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Makisha Lemonds. Memorial service was held Aug. 11 at Christians Funeral Home with Pastor Katherine Kolodziejczyk officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riverview Estates in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, Ks. 67456.
