Jack Jewell, 90, died Jan. 22, 2018, at his home in Scott County. He was born June 12, 1927 , in Scott County, the son of Leo and Alice (Goertz) Jewell. A lifetime resident of Scott County, he was a farmer. On June 30, 1951, he married Alma Lamoine Hager in Scott City. She survives. Other survivors include: one son, David Jewell, Wichita; three daughters, Cindy Barnes, Dodge City, Diana Yost, Holcomb, and Linda Leger, Scott City; one sister, Donna Dee Carpenter, Scott City; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Funeral service will be Sat., Jan. 27, 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding.
