Joseph ‘Joe’ F. Beaver

Joseph “Joe” F. Beaver, 88, died Aug. 20, 2018, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City. He was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Oakley, the son of Fred M. and Leta D. (Rohrbough) Beaver. A lifetime resident of Scott City, he was the owner and operator of JF Beaver advertising. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served as a private in the United States Army Reserves. On Sept. 29, 1951, he married Elizabeth Donna Sneller in Scott City. She died Oct. 20, 1999. Survivors include: one son, Jay Beaver and wife, Suzanne, Scott City; one daughter, Cynthia Jo Parker and husband, John, Woodlands, Tex.; one brother-in-law, Gayle Bruner, Denver, Colo.; four grandsons; a special friend, Phyllis Rowland, Scott City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Thelma Patton and Myrtle Winter. Visitation will be Sat., Aug. 25, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00-5:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Vigil service will be held Sun., Aug. 26, 7:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Mon., Aug. 27, 2:00 p.m., at the church with Fr. George Fajardo presiding. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Scott County EMTs in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S.
