Karen Hoffman, 49, died Aug. 8, 2018, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City. S h e was born Nov. 13, 1968, in Ga r d e n City, the daughter of Walter and Madelyn (Woodson) Hoffman. She graduated from Scott Community High School before moving to Garden City where she worked as a caregiver for ResCare. She married Felipe Bravo in 1991. He survives. Other survivors include: their children, Kimberly Hoffman, Elvia Bravo and Victor Bravo, all of Garden City; two sisters, Agnes Hernandez, Scott City, and Marylin Hoffman, Topeka; two brothers, Harold Hoffman of Texas and Howard Hoffman, Garden City; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Tillie Ruby Hoffman; and one brother, Henry Hoffman. A graveside service was held Aug. 13 at Valley View Cemetery.
