Larry L. Huck
Larry L. Huck, 79, died Dec. 26, 2020, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
H e was born on Jan. 31, 1941, in Coldwater, the son of Vernon and Maxine (Wait) Huck.
Larry was a resident of Scott City since 1963, moving from Winfield. He was a teacher, coach, farmer, rancher and cattleman and a very big supporter of Scott Community school sports and activities.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Scott City. Larry was also a member of the Scott County Fair board, William Carpenter Foundation board, Scott Coop board, Kansas Livestock Association, Kansas Beef Council (serving two years as president), American Chianina Association (serving two years as president) and the National Livestock and Meat board.
On Aug. 7, 1960, he married Gwen Burditt in Coldwater. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Galen Huck and wife, Mary Kay, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Lance Huck and wife, Irene, Scott City; one daughter, Suzanne Griffith and husband, Chad, Scott City; two brothers, Dennis Huck and wife, Shirley, Coldwater, and Bob Huck and wife, Sherry, Coldwater; one sister, Janice Moore, Protection; 10 grandchildren, Corey Huck, Shaelee Huck, Ian Huck, Elizabeth Janssen, Catherine Huck, Asher Huck, Brinlee McNary, Maris Unruh, Cooper Griffith and Gui Griffith; and four great-grandchildren, Ruby, Theo and Mabel Huck, and Spencer Unruh.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Dr. Galen Huck and Rev. Larry Danforth presiding.
