LaVonne Kelch, 93, died Dec. 19, 2019, at the Lane County Hospital Long Term Care Unit in
She was born on April 10, 1926, in Lane County, the daughter of George Joseph and Bessie Leah (Rich) Cross.
A lifetime resident of Lane County, she was a teacher.
She was a member of the Healy United Methodist Church and UMW in Healy.
On July 7, 1943, she married Emery Richard Kelch in Sweetwater, Tex. He died on Oct. 4, 2004, in Scott City.
Survivors include two sons, Maurice R. “Butch” Kelch and Valeny “Gene” Kelch, both of Garden City; two daughters; Roxanna Felbush, Broomfield, Colo., and Tamara Piccone, Dighton; 10 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, John and Jimmy Ray; a sister, Elma Cross; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Fri., Dec. 27, at 2:00 p.m., at the Healy United Methodist Church with Pastor Bud Tuxhorn officiating.
Burial will be in the Healy Cemetery.
