Leslie ‘Les’ Wayne Davis
Leslie “Les” Wayne Davis, 53, died Fri., Jan. 24, 2020, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.
Les was born Sept. 25, 1966, in Hays, the son of Marvin Davis and Dona (Graham) Larson.
Les lived in several towns in Colorado and Kansas. He graduated from Windsor High School in Windsor, Colo., in 1985. During the summer months while growing up, Les would work on the Graham family farm.
Les was employed by the Farm Bureau, Radio Shack, and Inland Container. He resided in Deerfield for the majority of his adult life.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Deerfield.
His hobbies included building stereos, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, traveling, bowling, shooting pool, playing bridge with his Grandma Shirley, and watching movies with his son, Colton.
He married Cecilia “Sissy” M. Lopez on Oct. 15, 1994. She survives.
Other survivors include, his son, Colton Wayne Davis and wife, Jessica, Albuquerque, N.M.; his father, Marvin Davis and wife, Monica, Greeley, Colo.; his mother, Dona (Graham) Larson, Milliken, Colo.; two brothers, Scott Davis, Denver, Colo., and Ross Davis and wife, Christina, Baxter Springs; a sister, Kyla Anaya and husband, Anthony, Milliken, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Les was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Shirley Graham and Vera and Orville Davis.
A funeral mass was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Jan. 31 with Fr. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant.
