Lorena Turley, 99, died Sept. 28, 2018, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City. She was born May 26, 1919, in Scott County, the daughter of Irvin Henry and Lottie (Ryan) See. A lifetime resident of Scott County. she was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and VIP Center, both of Scott City, the Modoc Sewing Club, Modoc EHU and American Baptist Women. On May 14, 1939, she married Earl Alfred Turley in Amy. He died Aug. 16, 1998. Survivors include two daughters, Neta Wheeler and husband, Bob, Scott City, and LaCinda Griffin and husband, Tom, Loveland Colo.; two sons, Gary Turley, Greeley, Colo., and Tex Turley and wife, LuJauna, Scott City; one sister, Hazel Eikerman, Hugo, Colo; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 21 great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Leta May Weems; four brothers and four sisters. Funeral service will be held Sat., Oct. 6, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding. Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
