Loretta Marie Gorman
Loretta Marie Gorman, 88, died May 28, 2018, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City. She was born Jan. 17, 1930 , in Hale, Colo., the daughter of Fred and Marie (Tuttle) Proehl. She had been a resident of Scott City since 1958, moving from Anderson, Mo. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary, both of Scott City. On July 18, 1948, she married Earl Gorman in Kanarado. He died Sept. 12, 2014, in Scott City. Survivors include: one son, Orville Gorman and wife, Marcine, Augusta; one daughter, Barbara Brobst and husband, Chuck, Scott City; one brother, Marvin Proehl, Medford, Ore.; one sister, Norma Wright, Medford, Ore.; five gandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Proehl; one step-brother, Carl Proehl; and two step-sisters, Velma Beechley and Velda Koehn. Funeral service will be Fri., June 1, 10:30 a.m., at the First Christian Church, Scott City, with Steve Payne, Chris Gorman and Henry Gorman presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
