Luella M. Roemer

Luella M. Roemer, 90, died, Jan. 7, 2020, at her home in Overland Park.

She was born April 3, 1929, in Gove County, the daughter of Wilton H. and Mabel (Tuxford) Bowman.

She graduated from Kennewick High School, Kennewick, Wash. She was a lifetime resident of Healy.

On Sept. 14, 1949, she married L. Elmer Roemer at the Healy United Methodist Church.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing crafts.

She was a member of the Healy United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Rebekah Lodge. She had been an election supervisor for the Lewis Township and served as leader for the Sunflower 4-H Club in Healy.

Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl Tomson, Lenexa, and Mary Elliot and husband, Chuck, Overland Park; one son, Earl Roemer and wife, Barbara, Scott City; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, a son-in-law, a granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Graveside service will be held on Sat., Jan. 18, 11:00 a.m., at the Healy Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Healy United Methodist Church, 2009 KS-4, Healy, Ks. 67850.
