Mario ‘Marvin’ Vallejo
Mario “Marvin” Vallejo, 61, died, Dec. 27, 2019, at his home in Scott City.
H e was born on Jan. 15, 1958, in Lubbock, Tex., the son of Juan Vallejo and Manuela and Greg Rodriguez.
Marvin was a resident of Scott City since 1978, moving from Leoti.
He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad from 1978-89, followed by KN Energy from 1989-2013.
In 2013, he began his own handyman and tree trimming business which he operated until 2017.
On Oct. 5, 1979, he married Rhonda Lewis in Leoti. She survives.
Other survivors include a son T.J. Vallejo and wife, Paige, Scott City; two daughters, Ashlee Kliesen and Jamie Percival, Scott City, and Nickole Kinney and husband, Aydan, Lawrence; seven brothers, CJ Vallejo and wife; Eileen, Augusta, Joe Vallejo and wife; Emily, Wichita, Sam Vallejo and wife; Martha, Leoti, David Vallejo and wife; Angela, Festus, Mo., Juan Vallejo and Checko Vallejo and wife; Janelle, both of Holcomb; one sister, Hortencia Garcia and husband, Sam, Hays; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside service was held on Dec. 30 at the Scott County Cemetery.
