Melba M. Trout
Melba M. Trout, 92, died Dec. 24, 2018, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.
She was born Aug. 3, 1926, in Great Bend, the daughter of Kenneth H. and Nellie R. (Keenan) Ackerman.
A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City, and a past member of St. Joseph Altar Society and Alpha Omega Sorority.
On June 8, 1946, she married Harold C. Trout in Scott City. He died June 16, 2003.
Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Trout and wife, Carol, Scott City; one daughter, Kateri Couchman and husband, Stanley, Scott City; seven grandsons, Andy Trout and wife, Susan, Scott City, Matthew Trout and wife, Lisa, Colwich, T.J. Trout and wife, Katie, Scott City, Michael Trout and wife, Stacy, Scott City, Caleb Couchman and wife, Leasha, Scott City, Cody Couchman, Scott City, and Colborn Couchman, Overland Park; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Brandon John Couchman.
Funeral service will be held Fri., Dec. 28, 2:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
