Michael Tod Steele

Michael Tod Steele, 64, died Feb. 22, 2018, in Grant County. H e was born April 30, 1953 , in Scott City, the son of Morris Todd and Donita Rae (Unruh) Steele. He was a lifetime resident of Scott City and worked as a United States Postal carrier. He was a member of the Scott City Church of Christ, an Eagle Scout, Boy Scout and Boy Scout leader, a Park Lane Nursing Home board member, a member of the Blue Steele Band and a music teacher. On May 31, 1975, he married Sharri L. Kern. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Matthew Steele and wife, Megan, Abilene, Tex., Aaron Steele and wife, Kristin, Mt. Pleasant, N.C.; one daughter, Kelsi Holsey and husband, Kyle, California, Md.; two brothers, Patrick Steele and wife, Joanne, Lowell, Mich., and Keith Steele and wife, Linda, Ulysses; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Peggy Pfannennstiel. Funeral service was held Feb. 27 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Scott County Hospital, Park Lane Nursing Home or the Spencer Flight and Education Center, all in Scott City.
