Perry D. Preusch

Perry D. Preusch, 89, died May 25, 2018, at the Monte Vista Grove Home, Pasadena, Calif. He was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Halstead, the son of Robert O. and Esther (Thone) Preusch. He graduated from Scott Community High School in 1946. He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Southern California. He served in the Korean War with the 186th Finance Disbursing Section and spent time in Kobe, Japan. He was involved in various business organizations, a member of the Presbyterian church serving as elder, trustee and deacon, was treasurer of the San Marino Community Church, president of the church foundation and served on the board at Monte Vista Grove. On June 2, 1953, he married Nancy Lee VanAntwerp of Scott City. She survives. Other survivors include: three daughters, Lisa Hitchcock, Lori Preusch and Lynn Roach; two sons-in-law, Charlie Patterson and Joe Roach; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral service will be held Fri., June 8, 10:30 a.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. with Rev. John Lewis presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of the donor’s choice.
