Robert Eugene Farr, Sr.

Robert Eugene Farr, Sr., 75, died July 1, 2019, at Hays Medical Center in Hays.

H e was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Garden City, the son of Paul Thomas and Wanetta Marie (Rowton) Farr.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, he worked in construction and for the City of Scott City maintenance department.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Kansas National Guard.

On June 10, 2000, he married Debra May Wright in Scott City. She survives.

Other survivors include: nine children, Russell Farr, Dighton, Robert Farr Jr., St. George, Utah, Michelle Ruth, Healy, Nicol Belford and husband, Paul, Wamego, Ginni Rose, Leoti, Bobby Keith Farr, Pittsburg, Keith Wayne Farr, Scott City, Steven R. Fulton, Garden City, and Brandy Marie Wright, Dighton; eight brothers and sisters, Loyd Farr and wife, Betty, Nickerson, Dale Farr, Grigston, Edith Blume, Goodland, CT Farr and wife, Denise, Weskan, Kenneth Farr and wife, Meredith, Leoti, Leila Walker and husband, Steve, Bentonville, Ark., Thelma Purvis and husband, Sonny, Sand Springs, Okla., and Ruth Von Stein and husband, Wayne, Pueblo West, Colo.; 24 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Farr; one great-granddaughter and two nieces.

Memorial service will be held Sat., July 6, 10:30 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
