Ron L. Meredith
Ron L. Meredith, 72, died on Aug. 24, 2020, in Denver, Colo.
H e was born on Aug. 21, 1948, in Topeka, the son of Owen and Margaret Meredith.
A resident of Scott City since 1960, he was a 1966 graduate of Scott Community High School.
He was a 1971 graduate of Kansas State University and of Baylor University in 1975 with a Doctorate of Psychology degree.
He was a medical student at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He then became a professor and director of behavioral science instruction, served on the research staff at the university and taught in the medical psychology program.
He was a past president of the Alabama Psychological Association and served as a licensed clinical psychologist for over 40 years.
He most recently operated Behavioral Options in Scott City.
He married Marianne “Bru” Rodenbeek in 1967 in Hays. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Keri Bonville, and husband, Terry, Scott City, a son, Austin, and wife, Donielle, Los Angeles, Calif.; and a grandson, Kade Bonville, Scott City.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ken, and a sister, Betty Mead.
A Celebration of Life will be held by family and friends at a later date.
