Russell I. Unruh
Russell I. Unruh, 82, died Dec. 26, 2017, at Bethel Home in Montezuma. He was born Oct. 2, 1935, in Newton, the son of Abraham and Sarah (Holdeman) Unruh. He was a resident of Wallace County until 2004 when he moved to Colorado before returning to Montezuma and worked as a farmer. He was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence. On Jan. 17, 1954, he married Dorothy Unruh in Halstead. She survives. Other survivors include: four sons, Ivan Unruh, Fort Smith, Ark., Rodney Unruh, Peoria, Ariz., Steve Unruh, Sharon Springs, and Kendall Unruh, Olathe, Colo.; one daughter, Kandee Koehn, Marienthal; one brother, Chester Unruh, Moundridge; one sister-in-law, Erma Unruh, Sharon Springs; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, three sisters, one infant daughter and one infant great-grandson. Visitation will be at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Scott City on Fri., Dec. 29, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Sun., Dec. 31, 10:30 a.m., at the Scott Mennonite Church, Pence, with Richard Koehn, Gilbert Nickel and Charles Schmidt presiding. Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the Bethel Home in Montezuma in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S.
