Ruth Goodman, 98, died Oct. 21, 2018, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City. She was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Greensburg, the daughter of Frank Niles and Ada Odessie (Ponder) Harr. She had been a resident of Scott City since 1954, moving from Greensburg. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. On Oct. 7, 1939, she married Wilbur Clarence Goodman in Haviland. He died Dec. 21, 1966. Survivors include: two sons, Dan Goodman and wife, Sara, Scott City, and Gary Goodman and wife, Janet, Scott City; one daughter, Sandra Kershner and husband, Curtis, Junction City; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Fern Harr. Graveside service was held Oct. 25 at the Haviland Cemetery with Pastor Steve Payne presiding.
