Salena S. Nichols

Salena S. Nichols, 99, died August 2, 2020, at the Bethel Home in Montezuma.

She was born on June 12, 1921, in Halstead, the daughter of Peter A. and Susanna (Nightengale) Johnson.

Salena was a resident of Pence from 1954 until 2011, when she moved to El Campo, Tex., and then to Bethel Home in Montezuma in 2016.

She was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church, Pence.

On April 18, 1954, she married Ervin F. Nichols in Fairview, Okla. He died on April 11, 1998.

Survivors include her son, Patrick Nichols and wife, Irma, El Campo, Tex., a daughter, Angela Nichols, Scott City; two grandsons and six greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, one sister, two brothers, 13 brothers-in-law, and 12 sisters-in-law

Graveside service was held on Aug. 6 at the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pence.
