Sharon A. Barraza
Sharon A. Barraza, 57, died on Jan. 1, 2019, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.
She was born Jan. 8, 1961, in Gallup, N.M., the daughter of Ray- mond and Grace (Etcitty) Warner.
A resident of Scott City since 1999, moving from Mariano Lake, N.M., she was a retired dietitian aide and worked for Park Lane Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Scott City.
She was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1980-83. She earned the rank of SP4.
Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Warner, and Carlos Barraza, both of Scott City; three daughters, Terri Warner, Garden City, Crystal Morgan, Crownpoint, N.M.,, and Lisa Barraza, Scott City; a former spouse, Roy Barraza of Mexico; five brothers, Leon Warner, Standing Rock, N.M., Raymond Warner, Jr., Smith Lake, N.M., Virgil Warner, Gallup, N.M., Harold Warner, Farmington, N.M., and Dan Etcitty, Mariano Lake, N.M.; nine sisters, Lana Nez, Zuni N.M., Rose Warner, Crownpoint N.M., Elaine Morgan, Crownpoint N.M., Sonya Largo, Crownpoint, N.M., Raquel Warner, Mariano Lake, N.M., April Warner, Gallup, N.M., Yvonne Long, Casamero Lake, N.M., Helen McCay, California, and Eunice Brown, Dilkon, Ariz.; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hubert Warner, Van Warner and Paul Warner; and four sisters, Ruth Warner, Janice Brown, Karon Warner and Lavern Warner.
A memorial service will be held Sat., Jan. 5, 1:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
