Steven Henry Nagel

Steven Henry Nagel, 77, died Jan. 31, 2019, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

He was born Dec. 30, 1941, in Ellsworth, the son of Eilert Henry and Virginia (Noble) Nagel.

A resident of Scott City since 1976, moving from Sharon Springs, he was a retired truck driver for Seaboard Farms, Inc.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a United States Air Force veteran.

On June 9, 1969, he married Elsie A. (Hansley) Griffin in Durant, Okla. She survives.

Other survivors include: five sons, Lyle Nagel, Scott City, Donald Griffin and wife, Rhonda, Garden City, Paul Griffin and wife, Laurie, Amarillo, Tex., Steven Griffin, Salina, and Stacy Griffin and wife, Glenda, Garden City; one brother, Roland Nagel, Great Bend; one sister, Laura Martin, Portland, Ore.; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eilert Samuel Nagel; one brother, Keith Nagel; one sister, Cinda Becker; and one grandson, Jeremy Griffin.

Funeral service was held Feb. 5 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
