Steven Leroy Unruh
Steven Leroy Unruh, 76, died Aug. 14, 2018, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City. He was born Oct. 11, 1941, in Montezuma, the son of Cornelius P. and Alma L. Knoll Unruh. A lifetime resident of Pence, he was a farmer. He was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church. On July 16, 1971, he married Phebe Friesen in Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Cameron Unruh and wife, Eva, Scott City, and Arden Unruh and wife, Michalle, Iroquois, S.D.; one daughter, Denise Unruh, Scott City; two brothers, Douglas Unruh, Versailles, Mo., and Glen Unruh, Scott City; two sisters, Jeraldine Reimer, Lakin, and Edith Koehn, Dukedom, Tenn.; four brothers-in-law, Herman Friesen, Peace River, Alberta, Canada, Stephen Friesen and Luke Friesen, Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada, and Jonathan Friesen, Clairmont, Alberta, Canada; three sisters-in-law, Christine Zeiset, Verden, Okla., Lydia Toews, Wanham, Alberta, Canada, and Marj Friesen, Crooked Creek, Alberta, Canada; and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; one daughter-in-law, Marcie Unruh; and one brother-in-law. Funeral service will be held Fri., Aug. 17, 10:30 a.m., at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence with Richard Koehn, Charles Nightengale, Franklin Koehn and Daniel Koehn presiding. Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Steven Unruh Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S.
