Tonja M. Williams
Tonja M. Williams, 50, died Nov. 24, 2017, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Tex. She was born Nov. 18, 1967, in Guymon, Okla., the daughter of Troy S. and Carrie M. (Abbott) Marion. She was a resident of Scott County since 1988, moving from Colorado. She was a teacher at Scott City Elementary School. She was a member of the Pence Community Church, Pence, Land of Kansas and was the owner and operator of Tonja’s Toffee. On Dec. 31, 1988, she married Alan Williams in Scott City. He survives. Other survivors include: her parents; one son, Matthew Williams, Scott City; three daughters, Aubrey Horton, and husband, Matt, Deerfield, Emma Williams, Manhattan, and Haley Stratmeier and husband, Cole, Modoc; father- and mother- in- law, Duane and Molly Williams, Modoc; and four grandsons. She was preceded in death by one brother, Troy S. Marion, Jr., and her grandparents. Funeral service will be Sat., Dec. 2, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Dr. Mark Yarbrough and Don Williams presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. Visitation will be at Price and Sons Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tonja M.
