Verlene F. Stoppel
Verlene F. Stoppel, 89, died on Nov. 9, 2020, at her home in Scott City.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1931, in Okeene, Okla., the daughter of Walter and Lydia (Karbs) Dobrinski.
A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a farmer and homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.
On Sept. 14, 1950, she married Duane A. Stoppel in Scott City. He died on Sept. 26, 2009, in Scott City.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Stoppel and wife, Becky, Holcomb, and Dwight Stoppel and wife, Sheree, Olathe; a sister, Virginia Ramsey, Claremore, Okla.; five grandsons, Chris and Dawn Stoppel, San Antonio, Tex.; Kelly and Kendra Stoppel, Scott City; Blake Stoppel, Corpus Christi, Tex., Kaleb and Allison Stoppel, Olathe; and Nick Stoppel, Kansas City, Ks.; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jeff; a brother, Roger Dobrinski; and two sisters, Verna Ramsey and Anette Sneath.
Visitation will be Fri., Nov. 13, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Price and Sons Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Scott County Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
