Wilda Jean Weber-Gossett
Wilda Jean Weber- Gossett, 81, died August 5, 2017, in McCallen, Tex. She was born April 12, 1936 , in Gove County, the daughter of William and Altamae Brown. A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Red Hat Club, and the Kansas Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers. On Nov. 16, 1952, she married Louis Weber, Jr., in Logan County. He died on Dec. 29, 2001, in Aransas Pass, Tex. On Dec. 12, 2012, she married Harold Gossett in Mission, Tex. He survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Karen Glick-James, and husband, Mark, Park City; three sons, Brian Weber and wife, Tracy, Abilene, Van Weber, Denver, Colo., and Darwin Weber and wife, Jennifer, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Willa Ruth and husband, Ron, of Oklahoma, and Jessie Shawver and husband, Dwaine, of Texas; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one husband; one son, Marvin Weber; three infant sons; one grandson, Patrick; one brother, Murry Brown; and one infant brother. Funeral service will be held Sat., Aug. 12, 11:00 a.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with Dwaine Shawver presiding. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871. There will be no calling times. Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
