William M. ‘Bill’ Wright
William M. “Bill” Wright, 62, died Nov. 8, 2019, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo.
H e was born on May 14, 1957, in Garden City, the son of Milton William and Elsie Faye (Turley) Wright.
Bill was a lifetime resident of Scott City until 2017, moving to Strafford, Mo.
He worked for the Scott County Road Department and Concrete Industries until retiring. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping.
He was a member of the First Christian Church Scott City, NRA and National Trappers Association.
Survivors include his mother, Elsie Wright, Strafford, Mo.; two daughters, Michelle Nix and Billie Jo Mortimore and husband, Kenny, all of Scott City; three sons, Jarod Wright and wife, Trisha, Bend, Ore., and Remington Wright and Sterling Wright, both of McCook, Nebr.; one sister, Cindy Oeser, Strafford, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, a sister, one sonin-law and one nephew.
Visitation will be Fri., Nov. 15, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be Sat., Nov. 16, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.
