Another heartbreaking end to SCHS volleyball season

This was going to be the year the SCHS volleyball team exorcised the demons from last year’s sub-state disappointment.
This was going to be the year that the Lady Beavers (33-4) would ride their No. 1 sub-state ranking to their first state trip since 2001.
Hopes of ending that long state drought were crushed by Phillipsburg in the Class 3A sub-state finals on Saturday in Colby.
