After watching a 21 point lead shrink to only four points in the final period, SCHS head coach Brian Gentry wasn’t going to call a timeout.
“We learned from Hugoton how to handle a late game situation and how to adjust when things aren’t going your way. When that happens you only have each other to rely on and bail you out of that jam,” says Gentry.
“At that point, there’s not necessarily going to be something I will say that’s going to turn it around. I was going to give the boys a chance to play out of it.”
