Board play contributes to first loss for 8th grade girls

Scott City’s inability to keep Goodland off the boards contributed to a 33-26 loss on the home floor Saturday - the first of the season for the Lady Beavers.

“We were timid in both of our games, but it really cost us against Goodland,” says head coach Lauren Robinson about the double-header that also included Colby.

“Goodland was able to get two, three and four shots at the basket because they were battling harder under the boards and we didn’t do a good job of boxing out.”
