Co-record holders have momentum going into regional

What was already the toughest regional in the state for the women’s pole vault just got a little tougher.

Scott Community High School sophomore Paige Vulgamore added her name to the mix of state contenders when she cleared a career best of 10-foot-6 during the Great West Activities Conference track meet in Scott City last Friday.

Vulgamore now shares the school record with teammate Madison Shapland, who cleared 10-feet at the league meet for a silver medal. In addition, Vulgamore shares the league record with Goodland’s Margaux Thompson which was set in 2017.
