Dighton boys are NC champs; Whipple wins 3200m
When Brendan Whipple jumped out to a quick lead in the 3200m and continued to stretch that advantage over the first two laps, Dighton head coach Ken Simon had doubts about whether he could maintain that pace.

Instead, the senior cruised to a gold medal in a career best of 11:23.64, finishing 22 seconds ahead of teammate and runner-up Burke Shapland (11:45.36).
