Early deficit too much for spikers in loss to Holcomb

In back-to-back games the Scott City girls had an opportunity to take control late and gain a win over Holcomb.

On both occasions, it was the Lady Longhorns who scored key points down the stretch to defeat SCHS by identical 25-21 scores in action at Holcomb on Tuesday.

But it wasn’t as though the Lady Beavers didn’t have their chances. They had overcome an eight point deficit in the first game to pull within a pair, 23-21. The second game was tied 19-19 before Holcomb put together a strong finish.
