KSHSAA limits 2-a-days for fall sports

State to begin collecting concussion data for all sports

The Kansas State High School Activities Association first acknowledged the growing concern over head concussions when it established protocols that schools must follow when an athlete suffers a blow to the head.

KSHSAA, which represents 354 member schools in the state, has now taken what it views as another step in athlete safety with elimination of the two-a-day practices which have been a time-honored tradition - if not always popular with the athletes.
