Lady netters open with title at Cim

With a team title on the line, Scott City’s No. 2 doubles team earned a 6-4 win over Cimarron in the final match of the day as the Lady Beavers earned a one point win over Tribune for top honors at the Cimarron Invitational.

What made the win even more impressive is the duo of Rhiley Stoppel-Brynna Burnett had lost to the same Cimarron team (6-2) in first round action before the two met again in the consolation finals.

“They came out slow in the first round loss. There were a lot of double faults and unforced errors,” says head coach Corbin Janssen.
