When you have state championship dreams, any season that doesn’t end with an appearance in the state title game is too short.

And even those seasons may not be long enough.

“Even when we won it all in 2012, I was disappointed,” says Scott Community High School head coach Jim Turner. “That’s because it was over. I wasn’t ready for it to end.”

He wasn’t ready for this season to end either, but for a different reason. For the second consecutive season, the Beavers were undefeated during the regular season, but couldn’t get to the championship game.
